Newborn Session FAQs

Do you have a studio?

Yes. Our welcoming portrait studio is conveniently located in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire (Junction 25 of the M25, North London). We have a dedicated customer parking space and a comfortable seating area where you can relax or feed your baby if needed.

All of our newborn sessions take place in the studio, where we have everything needed to create beautiful, safe portraits.

When is the best age to photograph my newborn baby?

The ideal age for newborn photography is between 5–14 days old, when babies are often sleepier and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses.

Don’t worry if your baby is a little older, as we also welcome babies up to around 6 weeks old, adapting each session to suit your baby’s age and personality.

Do you provide props / hats?

Yes. We have a carefully chosen collection of wraps, blankets, bonnets, headbands, bowls, beds and props available for your session.

You’re also very welcome to bring along any meaningful items, such as a special blanket, teddy or family keepsake, if you’d like them included.

How can I book my session?

Booking is easy. Simply complete our online booking form and we’ll be in touch to arrange your session and confirm your booking.

A £50 non-refundable booking fee secures your session date, with the remaining balance due on the day of your session.

What will happen on the session day?

You’ll be welcomed to our studio at your arranged session time, where you’ll have a chance to settle in, relax and chat through your session with your photographer before we begin.

Every newborn session is led by your baby’s needs. Whether your baby is sleepy, awake or needs time for cuddles and feeds, we’ll work patiently to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

The remaining balance is payable on the day of your session, and we accept card or bank transfer payments.

How can I view the images?

Around two weeks after your session, you’ll receive access to your private password-protected online gallery, where you can view your images from the comfort of home and share them with family and friends.

If you’d prefer to visit the studio to view your gallery together, we’re always happy to arrange an appointment.

When do I receive my chosen images?

Once you’ve selected your favourite images, we’ll carefully make the final edits and deliver your high-resolution digital images within 3–7 working days via a secure download link.

Your images are yours to enjoy, print and share with your family and friends. We also recommend backing them up in more than one place, such as on your computer, in cloud storage, and with a trusted family member, so they’re safely preserved for years to come.

After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery to enjoy at home, where you can take your time choosing your favourite images and any additional products if you wish. There are no sales appointments or pressure to buy more than you need.
